World Federation of Bee Therapy Professional Committee, Chinese Society of National Medicine President Li Wanyao addressed the opening ceremony of the Second World Bee Therapy Congress
In a speech to the General Assembly, Chairman Li Wanyao of the World Federation of Apitherapy Professional Committees said that in the past year, the work of the Apitherapy Commission had made considerable progress, with members covering 20 countries and regions, and the cause of bee therapy had made further development. The convening of the Second World Bee Therapy Congress is not only a platform for us to summarize the successful experience in the past, but also a platform for us to face the future and continuously obtain new brilliant achievements in bee therapy. The Apiculture Society has gathered a group of leading domestic and foreign academics, excellent medical skills and noble medical ethics of the older generation of bee care experts and excellent young bee care professionals. She believes that under the joint promotion of everyone, bee care will be further developed.

The conference was attended by the Vice-President and Secretary-General of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Associations, the former Director of Policy, Law and Regulation Department of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Sang Binsheng, the Vice-President of Shaoxing Keqiao District, Zhu Jingzhi, the President of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Apitherapy Professional Committee, Li Wanyao, Secretary-General Zhang Qinglong, the Under-Secretary-General of the Chinese National Medical Association, Liu Yuwei, the President of the Asia-Pacific Apitherapy Research Association of Taiwan, and the President, experts and scholars of the Apitherapy Association from 17 countries and regions such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, Portugal, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Macao, China, Taiwan and nearly 500 elite representatives of the apitherapy industry.
Sang Binsheng, Vice-President and Secretary-General of the World Federation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that the World Apitherapy Congress was a Chinese and foreign apitherapy community event guided by ‘ openness, inclusiveness, mutual learning and win-win cooperation ‘ and was an important initiative to further expand opening up in the field of apitherapy. It is hoped that the professional committee of beekeeping will increase the international communication and exchange in the field of beekeeping medical and health care, enhance the international influence of beekeeping, and build a new glory of beekeeping industry.
Liu Yuwei, Under-Secretary-General and Director of Academic Department of the Chinese Academy of National Medicine, said in his speech that the theme of the conference was “ new era, new bee therapy, new integration, new development and new journey, ” which was a significant promotion for continuous mining, research, summary, improvement and development. Bee therapy, as an effective characteristic therapy for health care in China, mining and research were of great significance.
Zhu Jingzhi, Vice-President of Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, said that the Second World Bee Therapy Congress was a grand event in the field of traditional Chinese medicine that thoroughly implemented the spirit of the National Congress of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is hoped that under the leadership of the Apiculture Commission and the Apiculture Branch, the steady stream of health and cultural motivation will be injected into the health reform work.
Chen Qingyi, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Apitherapy Association of Taiwan, Dr. János Körmendy-Rácz, Chairman of the Hungarian Apitherapy Association, Ali Timuçin Atayoğlu, Chairman of the Turkish Apitherapy Association, and other domestic and foreign experts have made statements in the hope of organizing experts at home and abroad, making full use of the international academic platform of the World Federation of Central Asian Associations to carry out high-level international cooperation and exchanges and contributing to the advancement of traditional Chinese medicine bee therapy to the world.
